Job Summary

The Program Coordinator will work alongside our professional care team to provide support for vulnerable children and families facing crisis situations. The Program Coordinator fields incoming requests for care, is responsible for managing all hosting documentation (Request for Care form, DTPA [Designation of Temporary Parental Authority], End of Hosting Form), and ensures coordination of services with TFG case managers. The Program Coordinator will also help coordinate volunteer onboarding.

Reports to Iowa Site Director.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen and transfer incoming calls appropriately
  • Schedule intakes
  • Data entry, documentation, and coordination of paperwork completion for hostings
  • Coordination of hosting details with participants, volunteers, case managers, and ministry coordinators
  • Manage the pathway from first contact to approval and first service opportunity for new volunteers, including receiving and processing applications and background checks and approving new and returning volunteers

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working in and partnering with diverse communities, multiple ethnicities and cultural backgrounds preferred.
  • Experience in social work settings, experience with foster care, adoption, or other programs serving vulnerable or at-risk children/families preferred.

  • Able to articulate the Christian faith. Active member of a local church. Agreement with Together for Good’s statement of faith and mission/vision/values
  • Passion for working with at-risk families
  • Highly organized/detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Participates in professional continuing education and training opportunities

Travel and Work Schedule

  • Available for in-office and remote hours. Occasional availability needed for evenings and weekends
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the metro

Compensation

  • Salary negotiable, based on education/experience
  • Mileage reimbursed at the federal mileage rate
  • PTO
  • This position does not currently include medical benefits
